Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) has always valued its history, culture, and commitment to our shareholders and employees. For several years, CFC has focused on documenting and chronicling our elders, traditions, and Tlingit way of life. Recently, the CFC Communications Team released a video on the CFC YouTube channel that showcases the work of the Tlingit culture with beadwork. The traditional art of bead working has been passed down from generation to generation. Each artist adds their fingerprint to their designs. We use beadwork to identify ourselves, our tribe, our clan, and our families.

In May 2025, CFC Communications learned that this culturally focused video won a gold Viddy award. To view the video, click the link below:

Tlingit Culture: Bead working

The Viddy Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. This Association sets the standards for marketing and communications worldwide. The Viddy Awards were founded as the Videographer Awards in Dallas, Texas, in 1995 by a group of videographers, editors, producers, writers, and directors. Their mission was to honor excellence in all aspects of video production. Over the years, the competition attracted tens of thousands of entries from over 100 countries, making it one of the largest competitions in film and video history. Now in its 30th year, Viddy recognizes excellence in creating, producing, and delivering videos.

Being a Gold Winner is a tremendous achievement. Only 16 percent of entries won a gold Viddy award. CFC is proud of the creative team behind our media and marketing efforts. Keeping the Tlingit culture alive through media has allowed us to educate others and highlight our ancestors and history. Great job, Team!
