The Ketchikan Visitors Bureau (KVB) is the official tourism resource for Ketchikan, Alaska. It is a non-profit organization that provides visitor assistance. Cape Fox Tours (CFT) has worked closely with KVB over the years as a resource and partner in the tourism industry. Every October, the KVB opens the nominations for people to self-nominate or be nominated for the Board of Directors. These individuals have stood out to promote Ketchikan tourism and hospitality. Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) is delighted to announce that one of its own employees has been nominated and elected to the KVB Board of Directors. Adrianna Oliva-Parks, General Manager of CFT, was recently nominated for a KVB Board of Directors position by a current KVB employee and by self-nomination. She was selected for a position on the Board.

This year, approximately 12 people were nominated to the Board of Directors. Each year, the KVB members select only six individuals to serve in positions.  Once those positions are filled, the Chair of the Board Development and Elections Committee may elect additional individuals if desired. This is Adrianna’s second nomination and first time serving on the KVB Board. She will serve a one-year term.

In her role, she will collaborate with other Board members to support and promote Ketchikan as a visitor destination through marketing, visitor services, and economic development. The board’s work includes supporting the cruise industry, developing markets for independent travelers and meetings, and managing visitor information services at key locations such as the airport and ferry terminal. They also play a role in developing and implementing the community’s tourism strategy, as well as promoting best practices through collaborative efforts.

CFC is proud of its team, which continues to stand out and be recognized for its expertise, innovation, and creativity. Great job, Adrianna!
