For more than 35 years, Cape Fox Lodge has welcomed visitors and local residents with comfortable accommodations, exceptional service, and sweeping views of Ketchikan and the Tongass Narrows. The Lodge’s beautifully maintained grounds add to that experience, creating a colorful and inviting setting from spring through fall.
The Ketchikan Garden Club recognized Cape Fox Lodge for its gardens and landscaping. The group specifically complimented the variety of flowers, plants, and shrubs around the property and noted that the landscaping is so well planned that different plants bloom from spring through late summer and into fall, keeping the colors of the Lodge’s exterior vibrant and welcoming.
The landscaping at Cape Fox Lodge reflects the dedication of Richard Nemanic, the Lodge’s Regional Director, Maintenance & Engineering, and the entire maintenance team. He was on hand for the visit from the Ketchikan Garden Club and was presented with a card, a bouquet, and an invitation to join the club’s membership.
The Ketchikan Garden Club is a local community group that welcomes gardeners of all skill levels to share knowledge about growing plants in Southeast Alaska’s unique climate. The group connects local gardening enthusiasts for education, seed and plant sharing, and local growing advice. The group is managed by the Ketchikan Wellness Coalition.
Cape Fox Lodge is proud of this local recognition and of the hard work by Richard and his maintenance team to make the Lodge a retreat for locals and faraway guests to enjoy from the moment they set foot on the grounds. Thank you, Team!
