It is official!  On November 15, 2019, Cape Fox Corporation President, Clifford Blair, and CEO, Chris Luchtefeld, signed the purchase agreement for the former Mike’s Elbow Room Bar in downtown Ketchikan, Alaska.  Many who have visited the downtown location may have fond memories of this establishment.  It is now a Cape Fox Corporation property and will be renamed 108 Tap House and Burger Bar.

The building was initially erected in 1900 and is a historic item along downtown Ketchikan.  Earlier this year, the CFC Board of Directors approved the purchase of the business. After some renovations to the current building, Cape Fox hopes to reopen the restaurant in mid-spring as the new owners and managers.  108 Tap House will feature Indian Tacos and a variety of burgers. It will have a full bar with 15 draft beers and classic cocktails.

Cape Fox Corporation is excited to expand its commercial opportunities with 108 Tap House and Burger Bar.  Ketchikan is seeing much expansion within the tourism industry, and we are fortunate to be able to grow our own tourism interests.  Tourism has continued to grow in Ketchikan, Alaska since 2000, with more tourists arriving each season.  Plans are already underway for more significant growth in 2020 with increased cruise ship capacities, additional port facilities, and expanded hotel rooms.

Cape Fox Corporation has always delivered premier tourist packages through our Cape Fox Lodge, and now we are excited to expand those offerings with 108 Tap House and Burger Bar.  If you are in Ketchikan, it is a must try!
