This year, Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) has felt gratitude for the many blessings, achievements, and celebrations we have done as a team and as a community. The best way for CFC to honor our good fortunes is by giving back to others. For the fifth year, CFC And the City of Saxman held its annual Thanksgiving Food Donation Drive in Saxman, Alaska. This year, we partnered with Three Bears grocery store to provide families with a delicious holiday meal. During this time, when everyone expressed and showed gratitude and thankfulness, we wanted to express our thanks to our community.
On November 25, 2024, CFC, The City of Saxman, and Three Bears grocery store sponsored a food drive delivery to all families in Saxman, Alaska. Twenty volunteers from Cape Fox Lodge, CFC subsidiaries, CFC Corporate Office, and 3 Bears grocery wanted to ensure everyone in their community could enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with family and friends. Each family received a 10-pound ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, chicken broth, cream of mushroom, green beans, and corn. In total, 150 hams and bags of food were given out to the community.
We extend a special acknowledgment to those volunteers who spent all day organizing, stuffing food bags, and delivering meals to the community. The volunteers for this event included:

After this worthwhile event, William “Billy Joe” Thomas commented, “Everyone who took part in this event understands the importance of giving back. Events like this make us all proud to be part of this community. Saxman is a small community like many others in southeast Alaska in that a little help goes a long way. The City of Saxman, CFC, and 3 Bears are honored to give back to the community that gives us so much. Being part of the community of Saxman means we all feel like family because ‘We are Saxman.’”
