Thanksgiving 2021 Food Drive

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and thankfulness.  We take this time each year to count our blessing and spend time with family and friends.  This year has been one of great thankfulness for Cape Fox Corporation (CFC).  In the spirit of feeling gratitude and spreading cheer, we are thankful for our community.  To show our gratitude and how much we care, CFC used this Thanksgiving to give back to our community in Saxman, Alaska.

On November 23, 2021, Cape Fox Cares, the CFC fundraising program, sponsored a community food delivery to all the families in Saxman, Alaska.  This delivery occurred on November 23, 2021, before the Thanksgiving holidays.  There were 16 volunteers from Cape Fox Lodge and CFC Corporate Office who wanted to ensure that everyone in their community would be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with family and friends.  The Cape Fox Cares program provided each family a Turkey and plenty of delicious sides.   We have had many blessings this year and that includes our Shareholders, employees, and community.  There are blessings around us, and for us, you are our blessing.

Christmas 2021

The first official day of winter is December 21st, and it arrived big in Alaska with a snowstorm. But, snow, rain, or ice cannot stop the spirit of caring during the holidays.  Through its Cape Fox Cares Program, Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) set out once again to ensure that our community felt the spirit of caring.  Volunteers from Cape Fox Lodge (CFL) and CFC gathered to brave the snow and provide the Saxman community with the gift of food this holiday season so everyone could enjoy a holiday family meal.

The spirits of our volunteers were high as they provided prime rib, pies, and potatoes to every resident in Saxman, Alaska.  There were 15 volunteers from CFL and CFC. CFC is honored to have dedicated employees who volunteered to give the food sets to Saxman families.  While we gave the gift of food, CFC received a much bigger gift from the community’s smiles and words of appreciation.  CFC would like to give a special thank you to the organizers and the volunteers of this amazing event.

CFC’s commercial and corporate businesses were not the only entities feeling charitable at the end of the year.  For the eighth year in a row, Eagle Health  donated toys to Toys for Tots with support from employees of Eagle Health’s Defense Health Agency Contract Resource Management contract. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. “Eagle Health is pleased to support our local Toys for Tots campaign. We are committed to doing our part to help bring a little hope, and some smiles to children this Christmas” Eagle Health’s Defense Health Agency Program Manager Leslie Eaton said.

We look forward to supporting our communities further in 2022 to make them stronger, connect with our employees, and bring awareness to just how much Cape Fox Cares.
